Psychosocial Risk Management

Assessing

psychosocial risk.

How do you assess psychosocial risk within your FIFO workforce?

Every FIFO workforce experiences psychosocial risk differently. At FIFO Focus, we help you understand those risks clearly and manage them in a way that strengthens safety, culture and compliance.

We work directly with your people to identify where mental harm may occur, what’s driving it, and which improvements will make the biggest difference. Our approach is practical, consultative and grounded in WHS legislation.

How we assess risk

Our primary assessment method is the Psychosocial Interactive Risk Assessment (PIRA®), a fast and engaging process designed for mining, resources and contractor environments. PIRA® identifies:

which psychosocial hazards are present,

how often and how severely workers are exposed,

the work design, leadership and cultural factors contributing to the risk,

existing controls, gaps and opportunities for improvement.

Where helpful, we complement PIRA® with interviews, observations and document reviews to build a full picture of psychosocial risk across your operation.
