Sandra Lam

Sandra Lam is an endorsed Organisational Psychologist and the founder of FIFO Focus, a psychological services company that helps organisations create mentally healthy workplaces, especially in the unique context of FIFO and remote work. With over two decades of experience across Australia and internationally, Sandra is recognised as a leading voice in psychosocial risk management in the mining and resources sector.

Her mission? To shift the dial from reactive mental health approaches to preventative and proactive, systemic solutions. Sandra and her team specialise in psychosocial risk assessments, trauma informed training and its application in investigations, mitigating vicarious and secondary trauma, mental health training, and resilience-building strategies tailored for life on and off-site.

Sandra holds a Master’s in Organisational Psychology and an MBA. She has worked in remote and high-risk environments including Timor-Leste, Cambodia, and the Pacific Islands, and across sectors such as mining, oil and gas, defence, and manufacturing.

Under her leadership, FIFO Focus continues to challenge the status quo, equipping organisations to meet legislative requirements while fostering safer, more connected workplaces for remote and FIFO teams.
